Dubai / Tuesday, March 13th, 2018: The Chairman of UAE FA Medical Committee Dr. Mustafa Al Hashimi has welcomed the AFC delegation participating in AFC President Traveling Fellowship Program for Sports Medicine which was held from 4 to 8 March 2018 at FIFA Medical Centre of Excellence Dubai. The meeting was attended by Dr. Reema Al Hosani, Medical Committee Vice President and a number of the committee members.
Al Hashimi affirmed his trust on the program and its objectives on upgrading health care for players and providing scientifically injury preventive program. He pointed out that such programs avail valuable opportunities for exchange of knowledge and expertise among sports medicine professions in Asia.
For his part, the CMO of FIFA Medical Centre of Excellence Dubai, Dr. Murad Ghrairi exalted the interaction of participants during the sessions of the program.
The program trained medical staff of clubs and national teams on the specifications of medical supplies and equipment required during training sessions and matches. They have also been trained on FIFA Pre-Competition Medical Assessment for players.
FIFA Medical Centre of Excellence Dubai has hosted four participants of the fellowship program, i.e. Badr Abdulwahab (UAE), Dr. Badr Oqail (Palestine), Dr.Saad Hussein (Iraq) and Dr. Otabek Muslimov (Uzbekistan).
