Al Futaim Motors signs four year sponsorship contract with the UAEFA

Dubai/ February 10, 2013: Al Futaim Motors and the UAE football association (UAEFA) have announced that Toyota would be the official supplier of vehicles for the FA during the upcoming four years.
Al Futaim Motors will supply the UAEFA, pursuant to a partnership contract, with 30 multipurpose Toyota Sedan Sports cars plus a package of full maintenance service up to 120.000 km for each car.
The partnership contract was signed on Sunday at the Zeyab Awana playground at the association’s premises by Yousuf Yaqoub Al Serkal, president of the UAEFA and the head of the Motors Division at Al Futaim Group.
The signing ceremony was attended by the FA board members Mohammed Omer, Saeed Al Tunaihi and Yousuf Khouri besides Yousuf Abdulla, secretary general of the UAEFA and the UAE head coach Mahdi Ali.
According to the FA president Yousuf Al Serkal, the partnership has always played a crucial role in developing the game in the modern times and the UAE is not an exception.
“WE are proud with this support which is provided by the sponsors for the most popular game in the world. Our national companies and establishments have always spearheaded the move towards the trophies and titles we have won and I would like to thank Al Futaim Motors for joining hands with the FA community,” he said.
Al Futaim Motors administrative manager Simon F. Said: “The purpose of this sponsorship is to get in touch with the youngsters and at the same time provide them with the required support. We are delighted to announce this partnership which avails us the opportunity to establish a close relationship with the youth, players, officials and fans as well in line with the strategy of Toyota which focus on combining youthful with agility.”
“WE appreciate the distinguished enthusiastic relationship which links the people of the UAE with this fast growing sport particularly after the great achievement of the senior soccer national team, winners of the 21st Gulf Cup,” he added.
Yousuf Khouri, chairman of the UAEFA marketing committee commented: “Football has become an important part of the peoples’ life and has contributed to the cooling down of many problems around the globe over and above the social and economical aspects.”
UAE head coach Mahdi Ali valued Al Futaim Motors’ initiative and thanked them for the crucial role they have been playing in serving the sport.
