Dubai/ Friday August 3, 2012: The UAE U-17 national team beat Al Wahda U-19 2-1 in a friendy at the training facility of Al Ahli FC here on Thursday. Rashid Ghanim and Saeed Jasem struck for the boys in white.
According to Khaled bin Hajar, the national team's administrator, the players did well and they are expected to improve over present form when they face Al Shabab and Al Wasl in similar tests on August 3 and 8.
The UAE juniors are preparing for the 9th edition of the AGCC U-17 Championship to be held in Kuwait from September 22 to October 1, 2012.
UAE will face holders KSA and Oman in Group-B while hosts Kuwait play Qatar and Bahrain in Group-A.
