The name of the Spanish football club FC Seville will be changed to carry the name of Seville Kanoute as gesture of honour to the African super star Frederick Omer Kanoute who led the squad to win the UEFA Cup title twice besides the King’s Cup. He scored 128 goals in 270 oficial games. Kanoute who was crowned the 2007 Africa’s Player of the Year moved to the Chinese Club Juan after seven years in the Spanish Liga.
