Sharjah/ Thursday June 14, 2012: The visiting Fifa delegation continued its visits to the proposed venues of the upcoming 2013 FIFA U-17 ًWorld Championship. The delegation examined on Wednesday evening the Sharjah Stadium which represents one of the six homes of the competition.
The representatives of the world football governing body (FIFA) are led by Inaki Alvarez, head of management competitions division and Constantin Wieland competition process manager. They have toured the whole facility and examined the pitch, the turf, public and grand stands, lightening, players’ lockers rooms, doctor room, anti doping tests room, media seating stand, commentators’ cabins, referees room and the giant screen.
The delegation later met with the executive committee of the Sharjah Club headed by the CEO Dr. Abdul Salam Al Kaabi. The FIFA officials made their remarks and urged the management to attend to the same as soon as possible and prior to next year’s draw.
